Army’s 91IB, Aurora Representative break ground for the Battalion’s multipurpose facility

    Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija – The Representative of the lone district of Aurora, Rommel Rico T. Angara, together with the commander of the 91st Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P. Rubio, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 91IB Multipurpose Hall at its headquarters in Brgy. Calabuanan, Baler, Aurora on March 19, 2021.
    Representative Angara served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker of the activity.
    According to LTC Rubio, it was through the efforts of Rep. Angara that the 10 by 15 square meter multi-purpose hall worth Php 1,920,671.10 was funded. The new building will be used for various functions and other operations by the battalion.
    In his message, Rep. Angara said that the facility is just a part of the Php5.2 billion worth of programs and projects for this province as of press time.
    “This is my support to the Philippine Army, particularly the 91st IB who has been instrumental in the province’s peace and development agenda. I hope that the new facility will further enhance and deepen the partnership and camaraderie between our local officials and the Philippine Army,” Angara said.
    Colonel William P. Penafiel Jr., Chief, 7th Infantry “Kaugnay” Division Governance and Strategy Management Office (7ID GSMO), represented the 7th Infantry "Kaugnay" Division Commander, Major General Alfredo V. Rosario Jr., who extended his gratitude to LGU Aurora and Representative Angara for sponsoring the construction of the multi-purpose hall.
    Colonel Joseph Norwin D. Pasamonte, Deputy Brigade Commander of 703rd Agila Brigade, also graced the activity, along with Baler Mayor Rhett Ronan T. Angara; Major Eduardo Pineda, Battalion Commander of 307th Community Defense Center of the Aurora Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion; local Officials, the Sinagtala Officers and troops; the Aurora Reservist Shooters Association; and other stakeholders.
    “This facility will boost the morale of the soldiers and also strengthen the military’s commitment to perform its mandate of safeguarding peace and strengthening, to the fullest level, its humanitarian missions,” said LTC Rubio as he thanked the Congressman for the assistance given to the battalion.
