Participants in the campaign were around 1,700 grades 11 and 12 students from the different high schools in San Jose City, as the activity' focused was on enhancing the youth’s awareness of the ill-effects of illegal drugs.

Leading the local government of San Jose City during the activity was Mayor Mario O. Salvador and Vice Mayor Glenda F. Macadandang, while the 84IB was represented by 2nd Lieutenant Ralp Andy Ranario.

Other partner agencies who joined the event were Jail Superintendent Richard D. Kho of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Police Colonel Henry L. Bruno of PNP San Jose, Inspector Augusto V. Ariem of the Bureau of Fire Protection, Dr. Elberto P. Saludez of the Department of Education – San Jose City, and Ms. Elria G. Hermogino representing the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Major General Lenard T. Agustin AFP, Commander of the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army, said that the Kaugnay Division strongly supports the government’s thrust in stopping the use and distribution of illegal drugs.

Further, Major General Agustin stated that he sympathizes with the parents of the youth whose lives have been ruined by illegal drugs. “Seeing our children’s lives waste away due to the influence of prohibited drugs is no different from having their future ruined by being recruited into the New People’s Army, where they either get arrested, die in an encounter, or hide in the boondocks for the rest of their lives. So we must do all we can to prevent this terrible circumstance from happening. Let us all work together, using the ‘whole of nation approach’ to ensure a bright future for our children,” added the 7ID Commander.
